Black is the weapon of Choice for low budget Uber Smiters and Kicksins. It has high Crushing Blow and good attack speed when made in a Flail base. Its low enhanced damage and inconvenient knockback make it a weak choice for melee characters which rely on weapon damage.

An Uber Smiter equipped with a Black Flail and using Level 20+ Fanaticism only requires another 20 IAS to reach the maximum 6-Frame Smite breakpoint.

The 3/3/3/3/8 IAS Breakpoint can be reached with Black + Treachery and is highly recommended for any budget build. A further 35 IAS can be easily obtained from the gloves (20) and a 15 IAS Jewel socketed in the helm if desired.
